What is the maximum operating temperature of fused quartz?

Transparent fused quartz typically supports continuous service around 1,100 °C and short exposures up to roughly 1,250 °C, with a softening point near 1,683 °C. Real limits depend on grade, load, atmosphere and cycle time. Above about 1,100 °C, surface contamination such as alkali residue from skin contact accelerates devitrification, so quartzware should be cleaned and handled with clean gloves before firing.

How does Southeast Quartz verify quality before shipment?

Products undergo helium mass-spectrometry leak detection, pressure resistance testing and purity testing before leaving the factory, together with dimensional inspection against the customer drawing, to ensure stable performance with no impurities and no leakage.

Can you manufacture oversized quartz tubes and non-standard quartz shapes?

Yes. Our workshop combines flame hot-working with CNC cold machining, so we produce oversized fused quartz tubes, bell jars, slotted quartz boats, flanged reactors, irregular shaped quartz sheets and fully customized quartz instruments according to customer equipment parameters.
